Jennifer Jasper is the leather artisan and the hands behind Burton Hill Leather. Long before there was a leather workshop, she spent years building airplanes and helicopters — work defined by mechanical precision, exact tolerances, and an understanding that how something is built matters. 

When Multiple Sclerosis brought that chapter to an earlier close than expected, Jennifer found her way to traditional leather craft.  What began as a new direction quickly became an obsession with the materials, techniques, and enduring construction of leather goods made by generations ago.

Today, Burton Hill Leather operates from Jennifer's workshop in a 1950's Fort Worth ranch house — a home that has given her room to stretch her skills, add new tools and machines, and keep finding bette ways to work. Those tools make the process easier; they don't lower her standards. The judgement, construction, finishing, and final result still come down to the maker at the bench.

That same aero-space bred precision now goes into  Bags, wallets, travel goods and everyday pieces are cut, assembled, stitched and finished one at a time. .

The goal isn't perfection for perfection's sake. It's to make leather goods worth using: pieces that feel good in your hands, work hard in real life, develop character with age, and are worth keeping.
