Meet The Artisan
Jennifer Jasper is a traditional leather artisan and the hands behind Burton Hill Leather. A self-described 'late-bloomer' to the trade, Jennifer spent years after college building airplanes and helicopters — a career defined by extreme mechanical precision and strict tolerances. After a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis cut the aerospace journey short, she discovered the world of heritage leatherworking.
Fueled first by a need for a new path, and then by a deep passion for the absolute awesomeness of the craft, Jennifer now applies that same blueprint-level precision to hand-crafting backpacks (rugged and refined), elegant handbags and wallets built exactly the way they were fifty years ago. Built to be used, aged, and passed down. You can explore her lifelong collection here on this shop Burton Hill Leather or follow her at her daily workbench journey on Instagram at @burtonhillleather.
