Jennifer Jasper is the maker behind Burton Hill Leather Long before she began working with leather, Jennifer worked in aerospace, building airplanes and helicopters in an environments where precision, consistency, and exacting tolerances were part of the job.
Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Jennifer ultimately left aerospace, but not the standards it demanded. Precision, discipline, perseverance and a belief that things should be made correctly—not simply quickly—carried naturally into leather working. She was drawn to a traditional craft that rewards practice, patience, consistency, and respect for proven methods.
Burton Hill Leather began small, but didn't stay that way. As demand for Jennifer's work grew, so did the need for a dedicated place to make it. Her new 1950s Fort Worth ranch home provided the room to build a true leather shop—one that has continued to grow alongside the business, with space for the machines, tools, materials and processed required to make each piece from start to finish.
Today every Burton Hill Leather piece in made in that shop. The leather and construction methods are chosen not simply for how something looks when it leaves the workbench, but for how it will perform, wear and develop character over years of use.
Bags, wallets and everyday leather goods may take different forms, but the standard remains the same: make it well, make it useful, and make it worth keeping.
Women-owned. Fort Worth made. Built with purpose.
